The Living Canvas Tattoo Crew ~ Candace Reid

Candace has lived in Winnipeg for over 12 years, it is here where art has really been part of her life.

Though she never wanted to be an artist in elementary, she still pursued it as a hobby throughout school. In grade 9 she experimented with acrylic painting after having a winning entry in the Robert Bateman Art and Poetry Calendar contest for her rendering of a pair of painted rosette terns in the ocean.

Candace's interest in tattoos began after seeing her father get one, soon anticipating the day she would get one. At 17 she got her first, her pet rabbit "freckles". Now Candace is starting her career as a tattoo artist, apprenticing with Abby and loving this job! Her art is remarkable and breathtaking.

She is headed to be a great tattoo artist for this city.
